- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR0.4 edged and taken! What a catch. Starc strikes in his first over. Cook is undone by a jaffa. The crowd goes wild. Stays with a back of a length on off, the ball shapes away just a touch, like it has been doing through the over. Cook plays the line but doesn't account for the movement. Gets a thick outside edge, which flies to the left of gully because of the bounce in this WACA pitch. Marsh leaps to his left and plucks out a screamer, went with both hands, stretching out his long arms. Both feet off the ground 0/17.6 gone. Elgar nicks behing, but Elgar inexplicably has a chat with Duminy. Only he would have known had he edged that. Superb line from Hazlewood, back of a length on the fourth stump. The ball is too good to play, so Elgar belatedly tries to pull his bat away from the line. That withdrawing bat was a fraction too late and the ball nicks the bat and carries to Nevill. A faint edge. 20/33.1 gone! Massive, massive wicket. Amla falls for 0 and SA are in early trouble. Full outside off - fourth/fifth-stump line. Amla prods forward, plays inside the line, his feet getting close to the pitch too late. Gets a thick outside edge which is easily taken at second slip, in front of his thighs, knees on the ground 5/212.2 immediate review from JP. Has been given out by umpire Nigel Llong. A good length delivery on off, JP plays outside the line. The ball sneaks through a big bat and pad gap. That has definitely hit the back thigh pad. Nevill gets low to his right to takes the catch. Australia were confident. Has it taken the bat as well? Needs conclusive evidence to be overturned. Did that bat hit the back pad while coming down? There is a big botch on snicko on the inside edge. Snicko shows a spike but was that pad or bat, it's almost simultaneous. I doubt that bat has hit the back leg, so the third umpire sticks to his decision based on the evidence from Hotspot. Two sounds then. That was a hard one without Hotspot 32/427.6 gone! Du Plessis edges and taken at slip. Back of a length delivery outside off, zips off the surface. Faf sees an opportunity to score some runs, tries to forehand a slap through cover but gets a thick outside edge. Flies away to Voges; right at first slip, who gets both his hands on a shoulder-height catch. That could have easily burst through, exceptional catch. 81/543.4 taken! What a catch from Marsh at short leg. Lyon changes his length up, goes flat and short on leg. Bavuma goes back in his crease, looking to turn the ball to fine leg, but the ball takes the inside edge onto the pad. Lobs up but is wide of Marsh. He dives to his right, gets low and plucks it out inches off the ground. Superb reflexes, he was standing slightly deeper than usual, which may have given him a fraction of a second longer 152/660.6 and gone! De Kock's scintillating innings ends. Short delivery on middle and leg, hustling de Kock for pace who clears his front leg and tries to pull. He is too late on that and can only flat-bat a mis-timed swat into the reverse-cupped hands of midwicket. That is a fine, fine knock from de Kock. Superb resurrection . 227/952.3 poor shot. Back of a length outside off, Philander stays in his crease and looks to pull through midwicket but he has to drag it from well outside off. He can't. Gets a thick inside edge which rattles the stumps. Poor shot selection. That will be tea too 175/759.6 and taken! Maharaj gets to the ball and chips his heave to Warner at long-on. Nice loop on off, Maharaj runs down, doesn't quite get to the pitch of the ball and hits it in the air with the spin. Warner steadies himself and takes a good reverse-cupped catch a few feet inside the boundary 223/863.4 and cleaned im up. Where has that been for the last few overs? Full, straight and clean through. Steyn backs away and misses a superb delivery. May have moved away just a touch or Steyn may have played inside the line. Either way, the middle and leg stumps are hit and South Africa's innings is over. 242/10Extras6 (b 4, w 2)TOTAL242 all out (63.4 Overs, RR: 3.8, 292 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-0 (Stephen Cook, 0.4 ov), 2-5 (Hashim Amla, 3.1 ov), 3-20 (Dean Elgar, 7.6 ov), 4-32 (Jean-Paul Duminy, 12.2 ov), 5-81 (Faf du Plessis, 27.6 ov), 6-152 (Temba Bavuma, 43.4 ov), 7-175 (Vernon Philander, 52.3 ov), 8-223 (Keshav Maharaj, 59.6 ov), 9-227 (Quinton de Kock, 60.6 ov), 10-242 (Dale Steyn, 63.4 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR35.2 whoa. Steyn strikes. Against the run of play. Superb bowling from Steyn all day, finally has something to show for it. Fuller than a good length, quite the ideal length, on this surface. Warner wanted to just push the ball through the gap at point to get one. Instead, the ball leaves him juuust enough to take the outside edge of his 45-degree angled bat. Taken by Amla at slip to his left in front of his chest. Steyn pumped, Warner distraught. 158/146.5 very close and given! Philander strikes. Marsh is out. Thinks of reviewing and does so. A poor review for me. Full delivery on off, gets that to jag back in in typical Philander fashion. Just a bit of nip, a bit of swing and the ball beats Marsh's flick. No bat. All reds on HawkEye. Australia lose all reviews and Marsh. A good innings from Marsh, but a perfect example of how not to use a review, especially if it's your last. That will be lunch too 181/440.4 144 kph. Rabada is pumped. What a delivery. Beaten for pace, beaten for skill, beaten in swing. Some play from Rabada. Kept it wide outside off, stayed there, hung it out there. Played on the patience. Then, he darts one back in prodigiously from around the wicket. Swung back in at pace. Khawaja is very very late on it, the ball goes through his bat which is still on the way down and uproots off stump. Pumps the air in rapturous joy 167/241.3 given! Smith reviews. Umpire Dar has raised the finger. Flat delivery on off and middle, Smith runs down to the pitch and misses his nudge. Strikes him in front of off and middle. He was a long long way down there. No bat. Umpire's call on impact so Smith will have to go. That decision took everyone by surprise. Maharaj's maiden wicket is not a bad one. Clearly not a bad decision if it isn't overturned on DRS. But we rarely ever see those given. Smith was 2.8 metres down the pitch at point of impact 168/360.6 leading edge and Rabada takes the catch. Another one for SA. What a fightback this is. Full delivery on off, brings this one back in with the angle. Voges plonks his front foot forward and is undone by that movement. As a result, he has to get that bat out in front of his pad to make contact with the ball. All he does upon contact is pop a catch back to Rabada, who sets up for a tough catch but takes an easy reverse-cupped catch to his right 202/650.1 Marsh goes and he immediately trudges off. Nothing he can do anyway. Philander strikes. Absolutely plumb. Dead in front. Philander has been nagging away, extracting just enough lateral movement both ways. Pitches this one on or just outside off and gets it to nip back in. Marsh drives with hard hands, the ball goes through the big gap between bat and pad to strike him on the back leg in front of off. No doubt about that one, just reward for Philander 181/567.5 caught at slip! Great work from Amla, to realise the inside edge onto pad was coming right at him. Nevill came down the track again, but the length wasn't quite right. He realises he has to defend, but the WACA lends the ball a little more bounce, ricochets off the pad to first slip's right. Amla moves sharply, dives and takes it with both hands. Did he nick it though? Australia don't have any reviews left. Looks like bat hit pad, not ball. Blame Shaun Marsh for his terrible review. 232/861.6 one more. Faf takes an easy enough catch at midwicket. Slowed up on off and middle, not overpitched but full. Draws Starc forward. Even with his massive stride, he can't get to the pitch, looks to drive through the off side with hard hands. The ball skews off the inside half and carries to Faf at short midwicket, who dives low to his left. 203/770.1 good length outside off, Hazlewwod stays back, lets the ball come onto him and then guides the ball to gully. Philander strikes again. Hazlewood exposed all his stumps, but the ball was slightly wide, he gave himself some room, played away from the body and provided Duminy a chance for some practice. Reverse-cupped catch in front of his neck 243/970.2 edged and gone! Australia are all out. Good length outside off, the ball moves away late and takes the outside edge. Carries low to third slip's left to finish off Australia's innings. Hung his bat out and the away swing took the outside edge. 244/10Extras8 (lb 3, nb 5)TOTAL244 all out (70.2 Overs, RR: 3.46, 305 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-158 (David Warner, 35.2 ov), 2-167 (Usman Khawaja, 40.4 ov), 3-168 (Steven Smith, 41.3 ov), 4-181 (Shaun Marsh, 46.5 ov), 5-181 (Mitchell Marsh, 50.1 ov), 6-202 (Adam Voges, 60.6 ov), 7-203 (Mitchell Starc, 61.6 ov), 8-232 (Peter Nevill, 67.5 ov), 9-243 (Josh Hazlewood, 70.1 ov), 10-244 (Nathan Lyon, 70.2 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR16.4 and gone! Cook has picked out midwicket. Big wicket. Back of a length delivery, a bouncer that rises to head height. However, it is slightly wide, making the pull doubly arduous. He pulls and can only slap it to the left of short midwicket, who holds on to a sharp reverse-cupped catch to his left in front of his shoulder. 35/1106.3 edged and gone! Elgar flashes his wicket away. Poor shot. That has been Australia's plan since tea. Overpitched outside off, gets a bit of away movement. Elgar drives from the crease, bat away from the body. But it takes the outside half of the bat and flies to Starc at gully who takes it in front of his chest. Special innings from Elgar. 324/420.1 bowled im. Amla chops on? Massive massive wicket. Good captaincy from Smith to bring him back. In the first innings, the ball moved away and Amla got the edge. Here, he had brought it back, some nip off the surface. Amla wanted to cut but the ball comes back in to go through a big gap and then rattles the stumps. Amla was hanging on the back foot and was late down on the ball. Double strike for Australia 45/294.3 edged and gone? Massive massive noise. Smith reviews. Siddle didn't think so. Umpire Dar says no. Nothing on Hotspot. Huge spike on Snicko, and that is evidence enough to overturn the decision. End of a spectacular innings from Duminy. An overpitched nothing delivery from Siddle, inviting the drive like Australia has been doing all day. Duminy was hammering them all day, but this one may have bounced a bit more. His flashy drive takes a thin edge and Nevill takes an easy catch. Against the run of play. That will be tea too 295/3115.4 got him with a peach. Short, short and then this one's full and just outside off. Faf plays forward but fails to account for the minute deviation off the deck. Gets a thin edge that has been gleefully accepted by Nevill. Relief for Starc 352/6112.3 he's picked out the lone man at deep square leg, and it has taken an excellent effort from Khawaja to send him on his way. Bavuma wasn't afraid to pull off the front foot but he made no effort to keep it down. And so even though it was struck beautifully, he was always in danger of falling if there was a fielder there. He also made it tougher by having to fetch it from outside off. Unfortunately for him, Khawaja, lurking around the corner with the sun right into his eyes, managed to remain focused and pulled off a low catch moving to his left. 346/5146.1 gone. 128 kph, good length and wide outside off. Definitely bounced extra. De Kock looks to drive through the off side but the bounce hits the bat high - more towards the splice. De Kock ends up bunting a catch to short cover. Voges dives to his left and completes the catch this time 468/7160.1 and bowled. Philander is cleaned up. Tossed up on middle, Philander swings and misses. Looked to go way over midwicket but the ball just drifted on and Philander missed the straight ball. Great innings 540/8Extras41 (b 10, lb 13, nb 1, w 17)TOTAL540/8d (160.1 Overs, RR: 3.37, 700 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-35 (Stephen Cook, 16.4 ov), 2-45 (Hashim Amla, 20.1 ov), 3-295 (Jean-Paul Duminy, 94.3 ov), 4-324 (Dean Elgar, 106.3 ov), 5-346 (Temba Bavuma, 112.3 ov), 6-352 (Faf du Plessis, 115.4 ov), 7-468 (Quinton de Kock, 146.1 ov), 8-540 (Vernon Philander, 160.1 ov)
- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR12.6 edged and gone! Two in the over. A sensational delivery from Rabada. Good length delivery outside off, held its line. Marsh played for a bit of swing. None there. The ball takes the outside edge of Marsh's poke. Du Plessis takes it in front of his stomach at second slip. South Africa are pumped 52/212.2 a direct hit and Warner is run-out. What a piece of fielding from Bavuma. Back of a length on middle, Warner pushes in front of point. Bavuma rushes in and picks up cleanly. Now remember he is a right-hander. He gets himself in an awkward position to ensure he saves a fraction of a second to get the throw away. Contorts his body and fires the stumps down at the bowler's end. Looked like Warner was dawdling towards the end knowing there was no way he could have been run-out. His bat is on the crease and is out. Best piece of fielding I've seen in a long, long while. To get someone as fast as Warner run-out. Got to the ball quickly too, he was airborne when he released the ball. So accurate that he hits the base of middle stump. Awesome. 52/176.1 given on 97 and Khawaja reviews. Flat on middle, the ball skids on like Duminy has been doing through the Test. Khawaja's bat comes down and clips the bottom of his pad. Has it clipped the bat? Went on and hit Khawaja on the back pad. The bat clipping the pad may have caused the bat to deviate just enough to ensure it couldn't make contact with the ball. Snicko shows no spike. "Daylight between bat and ball," says the third umpire. Umpire's call on wickets. And a fantastic innings from Khawaja ends, showed grit and determination on a tough pitch. 246/644.3 edged and gone! Sensational bowling. Rabada strikes. Massive wicket for South Africa. Persistence. Perseverance. Superb stuff. Full again outside off, he has been there for quite awhile in this spell. Gets this to move away just enough to take the outside edge of Smith. Smith felt he was set and could drive through the covers. Just a lovely Test wicket. Good captaincy from Faf to leave that cover region open. Easy take for de Kock 144/346.5 edged and gone. Another one for Rabada. Has been superb in this spell, elicits a thin outside edge from a tentative Voges. Full delivery on a fourth-stump line. It's close enough to off to ensure Voges has to play. He does, the ball moves away just enough to take the outside edge. Carries low to de Kock's left. Has been moving the ball both ways, a fantastic spell from Rabada. 146/462.4 big appeal. Bat pad or pad bat? Faf reviews. A searing yorker on leg, Marsh gets his bat down late and pushes past mid-off. Rabada tries to catch the ball but it spoons over him. The South Africans go up in appeal, and Faf is very confident. Looks like pad first, but there seems to be too much tail back in. May be sliding down leg. Definitely pad first. All reds on Hawkeye, and Marsh has to go. Fantastic yorker. Rabada's front foot is just fine. So Rabada has kept the ball outside off, hung it there for a while then down comes that yorker. Superb Test match bowling. The ball ricocheted onto the bat after clipping the pad. The new DRS protocol does for Marsh. It would have been clipping the stump and a not-out call a few months back. Since it was so full, the ball wasn't going down. Clipped the front toe first, then onto the pad 196/582.5 140 kph, another searing yorker on leg. Starc beaten for pace and swing. Given by umpire Dar. Starc walks off, but then belatedly decides to review. Comes back in a lot, all in the air from around the wicket. Hits Starc on the full, on the back foot. All reds on Hawkeye and Rabada has five. What a bowling performance this has been. Not much Starc could do. Rabada has done what no other bowler has been able to do consistently in this Test, move the ball prodigiously in the air. A deserved five-for. He kisses the WACA surface. 262/792.5 given! Umpire Dar. Siddle has a wry smile on his face and walks off. Absolutely plumb. Keeps a tad low too. The new ball works. Philander, like he typically does, gets this to jag back in just a bit on the air. Gets a little more nip back in off the pitch and some low bounce accentuates Siddle's problems as he falls over it in front of middle and leg. Jagged back in and struck Siddle on the back leg in front of middle. Easy decision. 280/8113.2 Bavuma strikes. He gets the outside edge of Hazlewood again. This time, the leading edge. On the pads, a nothing delivery from Bavuma. However, Hazlewood closed the bat face too early, gets a thick leading edge which lobs up to short cover who takes the catch over his head. Maiden Test wicket 345/9119.1 and given by umpire Llong. Lyon reviews. Flat delivery on middle and leg, the ball drifts on with the arm. Lyon gets a giant front-foot stride and is beaten on the inside edge. Two reds, one orange as umpire's call as the ball is just clipping the leg stump. South Africa seal a stunning comeback to beat Australia by 177 runs and go 1-0 up in the three-match series 361/10Extras30 (b 13, lb 11, nb 2, w 4)TOTAL361 all out (119.1 Overs, RR: 3.02)Fall of wickets: 1-52 (David Warner, 12.2 ov), 2-52 (Shaun Marsh, 12.6 ov), 3-144 (Steven Smith, 44.3 ov), 4-146 (Adam Voges, 46.5 ov), 5-196 (Mitchell Marsh, 62.4 ov), 6-246 (Usman Khawaja, 76.1 ov), 7-262 (Mitchell Starc, 82.5 ov), 8-280 (Peter Siddle, 92.5 ov), 9-345 (Josh Hazlewood, 113.2 ov), 10-361 (Nathan Lyon, 119.1 ov)
