ESPN 100 forward Khavon Moore commits to Texas Tech

Men's College Basketball, Men Basketball Recruiting, Texas Tech Red Raiders

ESPN 100 forward Khavon Moore has committed to Texas Tech.

Moore announced his decision at a news conference on Monday.

Moore, a 6-foot-8 small forward from Westside High School (Georgia), chose the Red Raiders over Oklahoma, Ohio State, Tennessee and others. He took his official visit to Lubbock this past weekend, when College GameDay was in town for Texas Tech's game against Kansas.

He is the highest-ranked prospect to commit to Texas Tech since the ESPN recruiting database began in 2007, and the first ESPN 100 prospect to pledge since D'walyn Roberts in 2007.

Moore is ranked No. 39 in the ESPN 100 for the 2018 class, slotting in as the No. 8 small forward in the country. He averaged 10.3 points and 6.6 rebounds playing for Atlanta Xpress on the Under Armour Association circuit last spring.

Moore is Tech's second commitment in the 2018 class, joining four-star shooting guard Kyler Edwards.
