Deondre Francois, the Florida State sophomore quarterback currently rehabbing from a knee injury, has been cited for possession of marijuana. According to a Tallahassee Police report, officers searched Francois' apartment on Thursday and found 17 grams of marijuana as well as other drug paraphernalia. Tallahassee Police public information officer Damon Miller said the Special Investigations Section had received information that drug activity was occurring at the residence and got a search warrant. He was not arrested and has been given a diversion program. Seminoles coach Willie Taggart said in a statement to the Tallahassee Democrat that the university is "aware of the situation and it is being handled internally." Francois tore the patellar tendon in his left knee in the 2017 season opener against Alabama and missed the rest of the year. The Seminoles play their spring game Saturday night. Francois is not expected to play as he continues to rehab from the injury. Francois made headlines earlier this year when he called police to his home after a domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend.
