San Diego State adds a year to Rocky Long's contract

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego State has added a year to football coach Rocky Long's contract, which now runs through 2022.

The extension was announced Wednesday.

Long originally signed a five-year extension on Jan. 19, 2017.

The 68-year-old Long is 64-29 in seven seasons as head coach, and has been on the staff for 10 seasons. Long has helped guide SDSU to a bowl game each of the last eight seasons.

The Aztecs finished 10-3 last year.
