Ex-Vols staffer Antone Davis alleges 'bullying and mental abuse' from Butch Jones

College Football, Tennessee Volunteers

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Former TennesseeĀ All-America offensive lineman Antone Davis says he endured "constant intimidation, bullying and mental abuse" from Volunteers coach Butch Jones while working for him.

Tennessee announced last week Davis is stepping down as the Tennessee football program's Vol For Life coordinator, effective Nov. 15. In a resignation letter obtained through a public records request, Davis calls his tenure "one of the worst work experiences I have ever had."

Jones said in a statement that "I wish Antone Davis well and thank him for his work as Tennessee's Vol For Life coordinator."

Knoxville radio station WNML first reported the contents of Davis' resignation letter.

Davis' complaints include not receiving a pay raise other than university-wide increases since joining Tennessee's staff in 2012.

Davis played for Tennessee from 1987-90.
