Lovett with 4 TDs leads Princeton over Lehigh 66-7

PRINCETON, N.J. -- John Lovett threw for three touchdowns and ran for another and Princeton scored eight unanswered touchdowns, burying Lehigh 66-7 on Saturday.

Lovett threw for 288 yards and led the ground attack with 111 rushing yards on 12 carries. Ryan Quigley and Charlie Volker each ran for two touchdowns for the Tigers (3-0).

Volker broke for a 52-yard touchdown run five plays into Princeton's first drive. Lehigh's Brad Mayes threw an 11-yard scoring pass with 6:50 left in the first to even it up but it was all Princeton after that.

Lovett opened the second quarter with a 10-yard touchdown throw to Collin Eaddy, then threw a 70-yard strike to Tiger Bech on first down. Volker ran for his first TD with 4:46 left in the half and Nicolas Ramos kicked a 21-yard field goal to close the half and Princeton led 31-7.

Mayes finished with 133 yards passing for the Mountain Hawks (1-3).
