Horn-to-Sanders TDs lift Jacksonville St to OVC lead, 30-14

CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Bryant Horn threw a pair of touchdowns to Krenwick Sanders as Jacksonville State rallied past Eastern Illinois 30-19 in a clash of Ohio Valley Conference unbeatens on Saturday.

The Gamecocks (6-1, 4-0) are atop the OVC standings, ranked third in the FCS, and pushed their conference win streak to 28 games, the best conference streak in Division I.

Bud Martin -- 20-for-40 passing for 219 yards -- directed Eastern Illinois (5-3, 2-1) to a 14-9 lead by halftime but the Panthers were blanked for the last 37 minutes, finishing with 254 yards total offense to 417.

Reggie Hall intercepted Martin on the third play after halftime and found Sanders for a 34-yard touchdown and the lead. The pair hooked up on a 5-yard scoring play later in the quarter.

Terry Tramel picked up 84 yards and a TD on 21 carries for Jacksonville State, which out-gained the Panthers 227-28 yards rushing. Horn threw for 164 yards.
