Saunders plunges in for Idaho TD

ATLANTA -- Colton Richardson threw for 228 yards and a score and Alfonso Onunwor had four catches for 100 yards and a touchdown and Idaho, playing in its final FBS game, beat Georgia State 24-10 on Saturday.

The Vandals' Aaron Duckworth carried the ball 19 times for 113 yards and a touchdown.

Idaho (4-8, 3-5 Sun Belt) left the Big Sky Conference in 1996. All other sports returned to the Big Sky in 2014 and football will go back to FCS play next season.

Against bowl eligible Georgia State (6-5, 5-3), the Vandals, seized the lead for good when Richardson threw a 65-yard score to Onunwor early in the second quarter for a 14-7 lead. Duckworth tied the game on a 1-yard run with 8:53 remaining in the first to end a 5-play, 75-yard drive. The Panthers' only lead was early when Glenn Smith ran it in from 14 yards out.

Georgia State outgained Idaho 435 to 375 in total yards but lost three fumbles and threw an interception. Conner Manning led the Panthers, throwing for 271 yards.
