Wells amasses 321 total yards and 3 TDs in Jacksonville win

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Rylan Wells threw for 211 yards and a touchdown and added 110 yards and two more scores rushing to help lead Jacksonville to a 35-17 win over Davidson on Saturday.

Brian Burnett caught five passes for 101 yards and a TD and Jake Brito added 72 yards rushing for the Dolphins (4-3, 3-1 Pioneer Football League), who have won their last eight against Davidson.

Jacksonville scored three times in the third quarter to turn a close 14-10 advantage at the half into a comfortable 35-17 lead.

Wells started the scoring with 2-yard run with 10:10 to play in the period, then capped it off with a 38-yard strike to Burnett as time expired.

Stockton McGuire threw for 225 yards and ran for 48 for Davidson (2-7, 0-6). His main target on the afternoon was Jaris Scott, who caught six for 190 yards and a 73-yard touchdown in the third quarter.
