Alabama A&M rolls past Arkansas-Pine Bluff 40-7

PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- De'Angelo Ballard ran for three touchdowns and passed for another and Alabama A&M beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 40-7 on Saturday.

Ballard scored on runs of 26, 6 and 5 yards and threw 19 yards to Marceles Clash for another score. Ballard finished 17 of 27 for 214 yards passing and ran 89 yards on 15 carries.

The Bulldogs (2-5, 2-4 Southwestern Athletic Conference) showed balance, passing for 214 yards and rushing for 253 for 467 yards total offense to 221 for the Golden Lions (1-5, 1-3).

The Bulldogs' other scores came on a 1-yard run by Jordan Bentley, who has 91 yards rushing, and Nick Carden field goals of 36 and 46 yards.

SWAC tackles leader, Bulldogs linebacker Kenneth Davis, had another 10, hitting his average.

The Lions' only score came in the fourth quarter on Brandon Duncan's 19-yard pass to Willie Young. Duncan was 15 of 27 for 140 yards.
