James Madison goes on offensive, beats Morehead State 80-7

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Bryan Schor and Taylor Woods each rushed for three touchdowns as James Madison defeated Morehead State 80-7 on Saturday night, setting several offensive records in Mike Houston's coaching debut.

Houston came from The Citadel, winning a SoCon championship and FCS playoff berth last season.

The Dukes (1-0) piled up a school-record (for Division I) 607 yards of total offense, 428 on the ground, with a program-record 10 rushing TDs.

Schor finished 8-for-11 for 109 yards passing, and also rushed 10 times for a further 129 yards before leaving midway through the third quarter.

Trai Sharp (110) and Cardon Johnson (104) were also over 100 yards rushing, and Woods gained 89.

Rashard Davis fielded a low punt on the second bounce and returned it 76-yards for James Madison, juking past the first two defenders.

Trevor Jones ran for Morehead State's lone score. With six catches, Jake Raymond set the MSU career record for receptions at 205.
