Maine stuns Delaware on Brown's 62-yard fumble return for TD

NEWARK, Del. -- Austin Brown recovered Delaware running back Wes Hills' fumble and returned it 62-yards for the game-winning score in the final minute and Maine escaped with a 28-21 win over Delaware on Saturday.

The fumble, forced by Maine's Darius Greene, occurred as Delaware was in the midst of a 6-play 42-yard drive which was approaching field goal range.

Hills, who ran for 242 yards and two scores, tied the game at 21 following a 61-yard run with 5:01 left. On the ensuing drive, the Black Bears (2-3, 1-1 Colonial Athletic Association) drove to the Delaware 17, but Patrick Leonard missed the potential go-ahead field goal from 35-yards out, setting up the game's deciding possession.

Dan Collins threw for 307 yards and three touchdowns for Maine, including an 11-yarder to Jaleel Reed which gave the Black Bears a 21-14 with 5:48 left.

Joe Walker threw for 74 yards and ran for 51 for Delaware (2-3, 0-2).
