Viviano throws 3 TDs passes; Harvard beats Georgetown 31-17
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Joseph Viviano threw three touchdown passes in the first half and Harvard cruised to a 31-17 victory over Georgetown on Friday night.
Viviano connected with Brian Dunlap for a 17-yard touchdown on the Crimson's opening drive, and finished 15 of 21 for 210 yards. Anthony Firkser had five receptions for 147 yards, including scoring catches of 11 and 75 yards.
Jake McIntyre kicked an 18-yard field goal and Cam Tripp threw a 10-yard TD pass to Cody Chrest to stretch Harvard's lead to 31-7 early in the fourth quarter.
Harvard (3-0) held Georgetown (3-1) to 265 yards of total offense, but gave up two big plays. Tim Barnes threw a 76-yard score to Brandon Williams in the first quarter, and Isaac Ellsworth ran for a 74-yard touchdown with 2:08 remaining.
The Crimson, who average 500 yards of offense, had 535 yards against the Hoyas.
