Tyson Fury will face Francesco Pianeta on August 18 in Belfast on the undercard of Carl Frampton's fight against Luke Jackson.

Fury (26-0, 19 KOs) returned to the ring in June, claiming a stoppage victory over Sefer Seferi at the Manchester Arena in his first fight in nearly three years.

The Manchester boxer will now take on Pianeta (35-4, 21 KOs) at Windsor Park in his second fight since becoming world champion against Wladimir Klitschko back in Nov. 2015.

This bout will be Fury's second under his new promotional deal with Frank Warren as he aims to reclaim the world heavyweight belts which are now currently held by Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

Pianeta, 33, is a former European champion and two-time world title challenger himself, having been in with the likes of Ruslan Chagaev and Wladimir Klitschko.

"The Seferi fight is history and Pianeta is a far better operator than him," promoter Frank Warren said. "His level of opposition tells you that.

"Tyson had been out of boxing for a long time and Pianeta is a good opponent for what is Tyson's second fight back after his break.

"Tyson had a short rest after fighting Seferi but is back in full-time camp and ready for his challenge in Belfast.

"He needs rounds under his belt before moving on to the next level and this fight will make him work for his win.

"I'm sure Pianeta will get into that ring desperate to upset Tyson."

Pianeta's last outing ended into points defeat to Petar Milas in Munich, Germany in June. He also lost to Kevin Johnson back in Oct. 2017.
