Claims made by Gennady Golovkin's team that Billy Joe Saunders will not fight the Kazakhstan in a middleweight unification fight have been rubbished by promoter Frank Warren.

GGG trainer Abel Sanchez stated that his fighter had given up hope of him becoming undisputed middleweight champion, claiming the British boxer would never fight him.

But in a social media post Warren hit back, stating that Saunders had signed a contract to fight Golovkin in his home country last year and urged Tom Loeffler, his promoter to contact him if he was interest in securing a undisputed middleweight title fight.

"This is just simply not true!," Warren said in response to Sanchez's statement. "Billy Joe Saunders signed his part of the contract to face Gennady Golovkin in Kazakhstan last June and then GGG's side wasn't signed.

"If you are really serious about fighting for all the belts, get your promoter to call me and let's get the fight made."

Unbeaten Saunders over came David Lemieux in Quebec in his last fight in December and will defend his WBO title against Martin Murray at the O2 in London June 23.
