Here's a look at the final SEC power rankings until bowl season.

1. Georgia (12-1): The Bulldogs got their revenge. After losing by 23 to Auburn during the regular season, Georgia beat the Tigers 28-7 to win the SEC title and advance to the College Football Playoff, where a matchup with Oklahoma awaits.

2. Alabama (11-1): By the skin of their teeth, the Crimson Tide got in the playoff. By missing out on the SEC title game, Alabama had to get some help in the form of Ohio State beating Wisconsin -- and not winning decisively -- to make the final four where Round 3 of Alabama-Clemson will take place in New Orleans.

3. Auburn (10-3): Without a healthy Kerryon Johnson, the Tigers' offense couldn't function. Jarrett Stidham came back down to earth and turnovers doomed Auburn. But a 10-win season with victories over Georgia and Alabama aren't a bad consolation prize. What's more, there's news that Gus Malzahn has agreed to a contract extension.

4. Mississippi State (8-4): Joe Moorhead posed for photos with Bully the bulldog and rang a cowbell for the first time last week, thus beginning his tenure as Mississippi State's next head coach.

5. LSU (9-3): The Tigers finished No. 17 in the College Football Playoff committee rankings and are headed to the Citrus Bowl presented by Overton's. A solid first season for Ed Orgeron.

6. South Carolina (8-4): The Gamecocks are headed to the Outback Bowl to play Michigan and a win would put them at nine for the season, an impressive second-year finish for Will Muschamp's crew if it's able to pull it off.

7. Texas A&M (7-5): The Jimbo Fisher era is set to begin, but before that, the Aggies must play a bowl game with interim coach Jeff Banks. They'll face Wake Forest in the Belk Bowl and look to finish with eight wins for a fourth consecutive season.

8. Ole Miss (6-6): According to athletic director Ross Bjork, the "poaching" has already begun. On Friday, Ole Miss learned that the NCAA would impose an additional bowl ban in 2018, potentially opening up the floodgates for transfers. Already we've seen quarterback Shea Patterson explore the possibility of moving on.

9. Missouri (7-5): A strong finish to the regular season with six straight wins gets the Tigers to the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl where they'll face old Big 12 foe Texas. Things are looking up for Barry Odom's squad.

10. Kentucky (7-5): An eight-win season would be nice for the Wildcats; they need a win in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl over Northwestern to get it. A 7-6 finish wouldn't feel so good after a 6-2 start.

11. Vanderbilt (5-7): This was a disappointing year for the Commodores, who started 3-0 and seemed to have high hopes and a good shot to go bowling. Next year will be an important one for Derek Mason.

12. Arkansas (4-8): The Razorbacks' disappointing season is in the rearview, and they're focused on finding a replacement for former coach Bret Bielema. That search is still ongoing after top target Gus Malzahn re-upped with Auburn.

13. Florida (4-7): Getting Dan Mullen in the door as Florida's next head coach was huge. Now he needs to build out his staff, and, more importantly, recruit in advance of the early signing period.

14. Tennessee (4-8): What more can you say about Tennessee? It's a mess right now with John Currie getting axed as athletic director and Phillip Fulmer taking over the position, hoping to steady a broken coaching search.
