Here’s where things stand in the SEC with only two weeks remaining in the regular season:

1. Alabama (10-0): A win in Starkville -- even if it’s a closely contested game -- is worth something. But did the Bulldogs start to show some cracks in Alabama’s foundation? With a slew of linebackers out, Nick Saban’s defense didn’t look the same.

2. Auburn (8-2): Welcome back, Auburn. It had been a while since the Tigers had won a game of that magnitude, not just beating the No. 1-ranked team at home, but beating them down by 23 points.

3. Georgia (9-1): All is obviously not lost for Georgia. The SEC East title and a trip to Atlanta for the conference championship game were already in hand before Auburn dominated the Bulldogs on Saturday. But seeing Jake Fromm struggle and the defense get exposed was not a positive sign for a team with suddenly no margin for error in the playoff discussion.

4. Mississippi State (7-3): There’s no such thing as moral victories, but what happened on Saturday was certainly a positive sign for Dan Mullen’s program moving forward. The Bulldogs took Alabama down to the wire by playing well on both sides of the football.

5. LSU (7-3): The Tigers took care of business against a struggling Arkansas team with a 33-10 victory. With just Tennessee and Texas A&M left on the schedule, the Tigers' chances at finishing the regular season at 9-3 look better, and a 10-win campaign is within reach in bowl season.

6. South Carolina (7-3): The Gamecocks' 28-20 win over Florida, which wasn't perfect, guarantees what Will Muschamp's team will finish with a winning record. That's a first for South Carolina since 2014 and just the eighth time in the program's 26 SEC seasons.

7. Texas A&M (6-4): The Aggies broke a two-game losing streak by cruising to a 55-14 win over a listless New Mexico team. Two SEC games remain (at Ole Miss and at LSU), but the Aggies won't finish better than 8-4, the same regular season record they've had each of theplast two seasons -- and that's only if they topple a team that they haven't beaten since joining the conference (LSU).

8. Ole Miss (5-5): The Rebels rolled Louisiana 50-22 and had the offense clicking once again, even in the absence of injured starter Shea Patterson. Quarterback Jordan Ta'amu has the Rebels averaging 41.3 points per game in the past three weeks as the starter.

9. Kentucky (7-3): The Wildcats beat Vanderbilt 44-21 to notch their seventh victory. It's the second consecutive seven-win season for the program, the first time that has been achieved since 2009. (The Wildcats went four straight years with at least seven wins from 2006-09.)

10. Missouri (5-5): The Tigers won their fourth straight game, blowing out Tennessee, 50-17. What was once a lost season is now looking up, as the Tigers need just one win to go bowling for the first time since 2014.

11. Vanderbilt (4-6): After falling to Kentucky by 23 points, the Commodores remain winless in SEC play. No team is allowing more points per game in conference play than the Commodores (46.1).

12. Tennessee (4-6): The Butch Jones era is finally over in Knoxville after one of the most disappointing seasons in recent memory -- with losses to Kentucky and Missouri in two of the past three weeks.

13. Arkansas (4-6): The Razorbacks' loss to LSU puts them in serious jeopardy of missing a bowl game for the first time since 2013, which was Bret Bielema's second year with the program. Arkansas has games left against Mississippi State and Missouri.

14. Florida (3-6): Randy Shannon’s record as interim head coach is now 0-2 after a 28-20 loss to South Carolina. A home date with UAB this Saturday could either be a chance to break a five-game losing streak or it could become the ultimate failure for a team that has already lost all hope this season.
