Terrell Owens was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2018 by the Hall's board of selectors Saturday at Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Here's what you need to know about Owens, who will be inducted in Canton, Ohio, on Aug. 4: Résumé: Wide receiver -- 1996-2003, San Francisco 49ers; 2004-05, Philadelphia Eagles; 2006-08, Dallas Cowboys; 2009, Buffalo Bills; 2010, Cincinnati Bengals  Why Owens was selected: For all the questions about his occasional outbursts and reliability as a teammate, few wide receivers have ever been as physically dominant as Owens, who was fearless going over the middle and fearsome as a blocker on the outside. Owens went to six Pro Bowls and was a five-time first-team All-Pro selection. His 1,078 receptions rank eighth all time, his 15,934 receiving yards still rank second in league history and his 153 touchdown catches trail only Jerry Rice and Randy Moss.
Remember this? Memorable T.O. moments -- both on and off the field -- aren't hard to come by. From the over-the-top touchdown celebrations (including sprints to the middle of the Texas Stadium field to stand on the Cowboys' star as a member of the 49ers) to the news conference he did with agent Drew Rosenhaus while doing sit-ups in his driveway as a member of the Eagles, Owens always seemed to find himself in the middle of controversy. But he also had plenty of memorable on-field moments, as well, including his dramatic touchdown catch to beat the Green Bay Packers in a 1999 wild-card playoff game after a series of drops earlier in the game and his gutsy, nine-catch, 122-yard performance in Super Bowl XXXIX just seven weeks after suffering a fractured fibula and tearing a ligament in his right ankle.
