Wazzu shook up the conference with a win against USC and dictated a change at the top in the latest Pac-12 power rankings:  1. Washington (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12): The Huskies are the clear No. 1 now that USC has fallen. When will the defending conference champions play a close game?
 2. Washington State (5-0, 2-0): After handing USC its first loss in over a year, Wazzu should be considered a fringe top-10 team and, as such, a part of the College Football Playoff conversation. The Cougs’ first road game of the season comes this week at Oregon.
 3. USC (4-1, 2-1): Playing close game after close game finally caught up with the Trojans on the Palouse on Friday night. The bigger concern now, however, is the team’s health. They’ve been decimated by injuries over the past two weeks.
 4. Utah (4-0, 1-0): The Utes are the lone undefeated team in the Pac-12 South, but their soft schedule to this point makes it hard to get a good read. A home game against Stanford this week will change that.
 5. Stanford (3-2, 2-1): Remember when there were some questions about how the Cardinal would move on from Christian McCaffrey? His replacement, Bryce Love, has the stats of a Heisman Trophy front-runner.
 6. Oregon (4-1, 1-1): The Ducks’ 45-24 win against Cal was impressive, but injuries to QB Justin Herbert and RB Royce Freeman are concerning.
 7. UCLA (3-2, 1-1): After a disaster on defense last week against Stanford, the Bruins bounced back strong with an impressive 27-23 win against Colorado.
 8. Colorado (3-2, 0-2): Dropped passes cost the Buffaloes at the Rose Bowl. They should get back on track with games against Arizona and Oregon State the next two weeks.
 9. California (3-2, 0-2): Now that there is film on the Bears, opposing teams are adjusting, which doesn’t bode well for the next two weeks against Washington and Washington State.
 10. Arizona State (2-3, 1-1): The Sun Devils’ win against Oregon looks even better, but they’re now one of just two teams in the conference with a losing record.
 11. Arizona (2-2, 0-1): With Colorado, UCLA and Cal upcoming on the schedule, the Wildcats have a chance to build some momentum.
 12. Oregon State (1-4, 0-2): The gap between the Beavers and the rest of the conference at this point is significant.
