Derek Carr, Marshawn Lynch, Khalil Mack moving NFL merchandise

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Despite a down year in 2017 -- a 6-10 finish after going 12-4 the previous season -- the Oakland Raiders still remained popular nationally.

At least when it came to jersey sales ... and moving other player-specific merchandise.

The Raiders had three players finish in the top 16 of the NFLPA’s year-end Top 50 Player Sales list from the period of March 1, 2017, to Feb. 28, 2018, with another Raider at No. 29 and a new Raider, in his old gear, at No. 31.

Sales rankings are for all officially licensed player products “as reported by the more than 70 NFLPA licensees,” not just jerseys.

Three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr was the top-ranked Raiders player at No. 10 overall.

Running back Marshawn Lynch was No. 11 but topped sales of women’s apparel from G-III Apparel Group.

Defensive end Khalil Mack, the 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, was No. 16.

Receiver Amari Cooper was No. 29, while Jordy Nelson, who signed with the Raiders as a free agent in March after 10 years with the Green Bay Packers, was No. 31 ... in his Packers jersey.

“It’s surreal seeing your name and face on these products, and then to be on the NFLPA’s best-selling players list is humbling,” Nelson said in the release accompanying the list. “First and foremost, I have to thank the fans for all their support last year.”
