Rumor Central: Will Erik Spoelstra keep Justise Winslow at power forward?

Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra started Justise Winslow at power forward on Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns, and he was asked after the win if that will continue.

"Nothing is in cement right now, but I thought Justise gave us some really rock-solid minutes on both ends of the court," Spoelstra said.

The Heat's power forward spot has been unsettled this season, as Spoelstra has started Kelly Olynyk, Jordan Mickey, James Johnson, Okaro White and Winslow at that position. With Olynyk and Johnson playing better off the bench, Winslow might be Spoelstra's best option.

"He can put the ball on the floor and he can guard multiple positions," Heat guard Goran Dragic told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel regarding Winslow starting at power forward. "It's kind of unique, because even like J.J., fours are defending pick-and-rolls now like guards, so they need to be really careful when they're defending those two guys."

Against the Suns on Wednesday, Winslow had 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in 37 minutes.

Winslow, in his third season with the Heat, was limited to just 18 games in 2016-17 due to wrist and shoulder injuries.
