Rumor Central: Trade talk doesn't bother Tyson Chandler

The Phoenix Suns are openly trying to trade point guard Eric Bledsoe, and there has been talk that general manager Ryan McDonough would like to include center Tyson Chandler in the deal. When asked, Chandler said he doesn't care about the trade speculation.

"At the end of the day I'm a professional and this is my team," Chandler told The Arizona Republic. "So until anything changes, I'm going to give them everything I've got every single day."

Last season, Chandler said he liked the idea of staying with the Suns as a mentor to all the young players, and so far, that thought process has not changed. If Chandler, 35, does decide he wants to move on, he will quietly speak with McDonough.

"And they can have a conversation with me if they felt like my time was done here and it's time to go in a different direction," Chandler said. "It's a business. It's not personal."

Chandler, in his 17th NBA season, is signed through 2018-19, when he'll make $13.58 million.

Through six games of the 2017-18 NBA season, Chandler is averaging 7.5 points and 9.2 rebounds.
