Rumor Central: Reggie Jackson adamant his left knee is fine

Detroit Pistons starting point guard Reggie Jackson is confident his left knee is in good shape with training camp ready to open in the coming days.

"With my knee, I'm feeling good. With the health of it, I'm feeling great," Jackson told the Detroit Free Press. "I just got to do the best I can to take care of it. The team is doing a great job of monitoring it. I've had no setbacks. I’m on pace, which is to be ready by training camp."

Jackson struggled last season, missing 30 games total -- 21 to start the season -- because of knee issues and having a platelet-rich plasma injection to help with the problem. The pain was bad enough that he was shut down in March.

Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy has said the plan is to be careful with Jackson during training camp and the preseason to avoid any setbacks for the six-year NBA veteran.

The Pistons hope Jackson's knee issues are in the past, as he's owed $51.8 million over the next three years.
