Utah Jazz guard Alec Burks has endured three consecutive years with various injuries that have limited him to just 100 games played over that span. Burks is finally healthy and has been able to participate in pickup games in Los Angeles this summer, which has helped his outlook ahead of training camp opening in less than two weeks.

"I feel so much better," Burks told The Salt Lake Tribune. "I've had a great summer, and playing at UCLA was the first time that I thought to myself that I'm back and ready to play like my old self."

The Jazz are hoping Burks is back to his old form as he is owed $22.3 million over the next two years.

"As much as anything, we're just happy for him," Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey said.

Burks will enter training camp as a backup and will compete with Dante Exum and rookie Donovan Mitchell for minutes at shooting guard and Thabo Sefolosha and Joe Johnson at small forward.
