The Philadelphia Phillies are expected to shop infielders Cesar Hernandez and Freddy Galvis for pitching help, reports Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia. The Phillies need to bolster a rotation that is thin when you get past Aaron Nola, and Galvis and Hernandez are logical trade chips. Hernandez, who is under club control through 2020, could bring back a higher return. The 27-year-old second baseman has emerged as a dependable leadoff hitter, compiling a .294/.372/.406 slash line over the past two seasons. Galvis, a free agent after next season, started 155 games at shortstop and hit .255/.309/.382 with 12 homers. Trading the two veterans also would open up roster spots in a crowded infield for second baseman Scott Kingery and shortstop J.P. Crawford. Crawford hit .214 in 70 at-bats as a September call-up. - Doug Mittler
