Losing Andrew Luck impacts Colts' season prediction

The Indianapolis Colts ended their season on Sunday with a victory over the Texans. Here’s a look back at how I predicted their season would unfold.

My predicted record: 7-9

Colts' actual record: 4-12

How I fared: Nobody had any idea that quarterback Andrew Luck would end up missing the entire season when I gave my prediction at the end of August. The hope by the Colts at least was that he would make his debut somewhere between Weeks 4-7. The loss of Luck and having Jacoby Brissett run the offense on the fly after being acquired a week before the start of the regular season caused a season-long struggle for the Colts. They lost six of their final seven games, they were a brutal second-half team, they fired their coach, and they finished with their worst record since 2011, mainly because they didn’t have their franchise quarterback the entire season.
