Watch: Texans' Lamar Miller breaks loose for 58 yards

HOUSTON -- Earlier this week, Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller said he hoped to take a step forward and build off of his 100-yard rushing performance in Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

On Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins, he did just that, topping the 100-yard mark early in the third quarter on a 58-yard run. After the rush, he had 124 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.

Miller ran up the middle of the field and evaded three defenders before making his way down the right sideline. He eventually was forced out of bounds at the Miami 8-yard line. Four plays later, the Texans scored a touchdown to take a 21-10 lead.

Miller is the first Texans player with back-to-back 100-yard rushing games since Arian Foster in 2014, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

The veteran running back is playing in his first game against the Dolphins -- his former team -- since he signed a four-year, $26 million contract with the Texans in 2016.
