Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly, are expecting their third child

Matthew Stafford became a father last year. Now, it looks like his twins are going to get a sibling.

Stafford and his wife, Kelly, announced on Instagram on Tuesday that they are 20 weeks along with another child, initially finding out Christmas morning that she was pregnant again.

The Staffords’ twin daughters, Chandler and Sawyer, were born last March and just celebrated their first birthday. Their third child is expected to be born sometime during training camp this year.

This will be their third child in 17 months.

Both Kelly and Matthew Stafford discussed their path to having children in a Sports Illustrated story last year.

Stafford has often brought up fatherhood in the past year during his weekly press conferences -- not dad jokes, but jokes about being a dad. He got what he wanted with Chandler and Sawyer, though -- he wanted girls; Kelly wanted boys -- and he’s often been spotted on Kelly’s Instagram page doting on his two daughters.

"It's been life-changing, obviously," Matthew Stafford said last April. "Your world revolves around them. But it's fun."

Stafford is already back with the Lions in Michigan. He began offseason workouts with the team Monday -- and he gets an extra $500,000 for doing so.
