OXNARD, Calif. -- Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott completed 13 of 15 passes in team and 7-on-7 drills Tuesday. Six of the completions went to Dez Bryant. It's safe to say their connection is coming along well.

Prescott completed two out routes, two shallow crossing routes, a stop route and a slant to Bryant. In the individual compete period, Bryant caught a touchdown pass against cornerback Orlando Scandrick and celebrated with a dunk on the goal line.

Bryant, who has been healthy all camp, wasn't ready to say Tuesday was his best practice.

"Nah, I had better," Bryant said.

Even when nearly half of Prescott's completions went to him?

Hey, when you're number is called, you got to make plays," Bryant said.

  • Prescott has completed 139 of 195 passes in team and 7-on-7 drills in 11 padded practices.

  • With linebacker Sean Lee not practicing because of a hamstring strain, Jaylon Smith worked with the first team at middle linebacker. After practice, Jerry Jones said Smith will play Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts.

  • The offense dominated the defense in the compete period. Not only did Bryant get the win in his one-on-one matchup but so did offensive tackle Chaz Green (on defensive end Charles Tapper), tight end Jason Witten (on safety Byron Jones), offensive guard Byron Bell (on Woody Baron), running back Darren McFadden (on linebacker Mark Nzeocha), right tackle La'el Collins (on defensive end Lewis Neal), receiver Terrance Williams (on cornerback Nolan Carroll), right guard Zack Martin (on Maliek Collins) and running back Ezekiel Elliott (on linebacker Damien Wilson). Elliott beat Wilson with a circle route out of the backfield for a touchdown.

  • Carroll was able to come up with two good plays that led to Prescott's only incompletions. He was in solid position on receiver Brice Butler and Williams on a pair of comeback routes. Carroll has been better the last two days.

  • Linebacker Anthony Hitchens was able to get to Elliott for a tackle for loss after beating offensive guard Jonathan Cooper at the snap. Hitchens even celebrated with a little dance.

  • The back and forth between the players and officials in practice can be a fun thing. After defensive end Taco Charlton got to Prescott for a sack, the official threw a flag for offside. Witten asked, facetiously, so the defensive players could hear, "So the guy who got the sack was offside? OK." Sean Lee wasn't pleased with the call, saying, "Hey, man, check the film." After an unofficial review of cell phone video, it did not appear as if Charlton was offside.

  • Receiver Andy Jones (quadriceps) and cornerback Marquez White (hamstring) went through individual work off to the side in full pads with assistant strength and conditioning coach Brett Bech. New signings receiver Corey Washington and cornerbacks John Green and Dejaun Butler went through conditioning work off to the side.
