Bengals' bad offense, bad start had impact on season prediction as well

The Cincinnati Bengals ended their season on Sunday with a win over the Ravens. Here’s a look back at how I predicted their season would unfold.

My predicted record: 9-7

Bengals' actual record:  7-9

How I fared: I said the Bengals offense could be "explosive" with the additions of John Ross and Joe Mixon, although the offensive line was still a concern. I got one of those things right. The Bengals offense ended the season ranked 32nd, and it was a reason they lost their first two games. Those two games, in which I predicted victories over the Ravens and Texans, made all the difference. I correctly predicted losses to the Steelers (twice), Packers and Titans, but I also thought they would beat the Texans and Bears. Ultimately I miscalculated in thinking the Bengals could beat those two teams; both finished with losing records.
