Brandon Williams scores first TD since intercepting Blaine Gabbert in high school

CLEVELAND -- Baltimore Ravens' defensive tackle Brandon Williams fumble recovery and one-yard scoot represented more than his first NFL touchdown.

The pivotal third-quarter touchdown in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Cleveland Browns marked Williams' first touchdown since he intercepted Blaine Gabbert in high school. Williams, who grew up in the St. Louis area, last reached the end zone when he picked off Gabbert, a former first-round pick and current starter for the Arizona Cardinals.

"It was a screen over my head," Williams said. "Touchdown."

Williams' first NFL score came in his 65th game and it couldn't have been any easier. Baltimore linebacker Za'Darius Smith stripped Browns rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer, and the ball laid at the Cleveland 1-yard line. Williams pounced on the fumble and inched his way across the goal line without getting up.

The explanation on one of the Ravens' four turnovers in Cleveland was memorable.

"You gotta get it, get it before it done get got," Williams said. "And I got it before they did. You know what I mean?"

Williams described the touchdown as "a freebie."

"I knew I was in," he said. "I had to scooch. It was good. I'm happy they didn't call it back. I would have been upset. But it's all good. We got it, so I'm happy."

Williams' only mistake was the lack of a creative touchdown celebration. He simply spiked the ball in the end zone.

This was a letdown for many considering Williams is known for his dance moves. He did the "Carlton" in London during a promotional event earlier this year and he took part in a dance-off with a young fan during a practice at M&T Bank Stadium.

Williams even felt compelled to apologize to fans on social media.
