David Johnson posts video after having cast removed

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Today was the day.

Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson had his cast removed from his left wrist Monday, posting a video to Twitter to prove it. The video, which Johnson filmed in the back of a vehicle, shows him wearing a brace on his left wrist, which he fractured in Week 1.

“Guess what today is?” Johnson asked the camera. “The cast is off. Finally. Already feel the range of motion coming back.”

Johnson is eligible to come off of injured reserve at any time, but his timeline to return will depend on how well he can get his range of motion back as well as get rid of the stiffness in his wrist.

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians has said that Johnson’s target to return could be between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
