Blackwater Elite wins 50th Pacific Caesar Pro Basketball Tournament

Blackwater Elite used a balanced scoring attack to trounce the BBM Vikings, 87-73 to capture the 50th Pacific Caesar Pro Basketball Tournament championship Thursday night in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Veteran Allein Maliksi led the way with 17 points, while Paul Zamar chipped in 15, spiked by three 3-pointers. Mike DiGregorio added 11. James Sena started at center in place of the injured JP Erram and scored 10 points.

The Elite, who reached the finals behind its five-game sweep of the single-round eliminations, trailed by two at the close of the first period and held a narrow 48-44 halftime lead.

The Indonesian club couldn't sustain its strong start as Zamar unloaded three 3-pointers in the third period that put Blackwater up for good.
