Port Adelaide are set to land another big-name AFL recruit after Geelong forward Steven Motlop nominated them as his new home.

The restricted free agent is reported to have been offered a four-year deal, with the Cats unlikely to match the Power's bid.

Port have also been linked to Melbourne forward Jack Watts and on Wednesday signed former Brisbane skipper Tom Rockliff as a free agent.

Port edged out cross-town rivals Adelaide in the race to lure the 26-year-old, who played 135 games for the Cats across eight seasons.

The Power have been active players during the first week of the trade period, signing former Brisbane skipper Tom Rockliff as a free agent, while offloading Jarman Impey to Hawthorn and Jackson Trengove to the Western Bulldogs.

Port have also been linked to Melbourne forward Jack Watts, who is under contract but has been encouraged to consider his options.
